今日、高尾山に行ってきました ！！
This morning six of my steelpan students and I went to Mount Takao,(高尾さん) in western Tokyo.
The morning had been rainy, so the trail was muddy and a bit slippery but that didn’t stop us from having a great time.
Takao mountain is a really interesting place with shrines, temples and deities (tengu). Statues of these long nosed and crow beaked gods (tengu)can be found at the temple and all over the mountain.
Visitors usually pray to Shinto Buddhist Mountain Gods (tengu) for health and good fortune etc. |
